Direct Data Entry (DDE) Using WCMBP Provider Portal

This method is for providers to enter (key in) individual bills/attachments directly in the system using the WCMBP Provider Portal.

Web Batch – Upload EDI Files Online

Web Batch method is available to all providers, including billing agent/clearinghouses, for EDI batch file submission using the OWCP program portal. The maximum file size is 50MB. At this time, attachments cannot be included with bills. Please submit attachments using the correct OWCP program portal:

Completion of the EDI testing process is not mandatory, but it is strongly recommended to ensure proper billing and prompt medical bill processing and payment. Please refer to the 837 Companion Guide for details on how to upload the EDI files in Testing or Production mode.

FTP Secured Batch – Upload EDI Files to Secured FTP Folder

The secure FTP batch upload method is available to all providers, including billing agent/clearinghouses, for submission of bills and related attachments using the OWCP program portal. It's recommended to limit the file size to less than 100MB.

To submit the EDI file using this method, please refer to the 837 Companion Guide for the steps to set up your SFTP account.

How can I avoid delays for processing of medical bills?

All providers are encouraged to submit authorization requests using direct data entry. By using the WCMBP Provider Portal, the provider can instantly confirm if an authorization is required. If an authorization is required, the request review process starts immediately at submission.

Does WCMBP have an electronic payer ID for each program?

The electronic payer ID's are:
