Provider Enrollment

The WCMBP Provider Enrollment and Maintenance solution supports Provider enrollment processing, Provider file maintenance, and ID assignment. This solution also supports the Provider outreach program through the public portal to communicate program information, recommendations, and updates to the Provider communities for all WCMBP programs.

Providers have multiple enrollment options available to them, including the following:

  • Download, fill out, and submit a hard copy accessed via the WCMBP Portal

  • Request a hard copy via mail by calling the WCMBP Call Center

  • Enroll online using the Business Process Wizard (BPW) via the public WCMBP Portal

The WCMBP System manages the Provider Enrollment process using enrollment BPWs. The BPWs guide the applicant or Provider Enrollment Worker through the steps that the WCMBP System requires to complete the data entry for an enrollment application.

The Provider Enrollment Worker utilizes the Provider Enrollment Form (from the Enrollment Package) or the enrollment web pages to enroll the Provider. The System includes a Special Consideration function that permits only Provider Enrollment workers to enroll a Provider with minimal information.

For Provider types not eligible for Provider self-service, the DOL District Office (DO) or National Office (NO) may perform Express Enrollment via the task portal. Express Enrollments require expedited processing as requested by DOL. Additionally, DO/NO can request to set the Express Enrollment flag for a regular enrollment for expedited processing.

The Provider Enrollment Worker is responsible for verifying and validating certain Provider credentials before a Provider is certified to participate in the OWCP program. If a Provider fails to provide the required credentials, the enrollment is returned as Return to Provider (RTP).

After a Provider enrollment is reviewed and approved, the WCMBP System generates a Welcome Letter including the Provider ID and login credentials. Using the Provider ID and login credentials, the approved Provider can log into the WCMBP System and use the BPW to maintain their information.

The WCMBP System also maintains Provider status to reflect status changes for license expiration or Provider exclusion. It sends a notification to Providers regarding license expirations advising them that they must renew their license with the respective license board and update the renewed license information to continue accessing the System.

The WCMBP System supports an automated re-validation process to ensure active Providers are notified to re-validate their data every three (3) years via Provider indicator and business status to track the re-validation process.

The WCMBP System enrollment function is a Web-based process that supports entry of enrollment data and subsequent maintenance by both Providers and authorized WCMBP System personnel. Using BPWs, the WCMBP System allows for saving enrollment information to continue the application at a later date.
