Overview
The WCMBP Provider Subsystem enables Providers and staff to access the System and complete Provider-related tasks, such as enrollment and maintenance. The System’s features enable Provider applicants to enroll online, authorized staff to review enrollment applications, and users to track the enrollment application in the System.
Provider subsystem functionality includes the following examples:

Providers can enroll in the system to provide services to the OWCP Claimants. The enrollment is reviewed by a Provider Enrollment Worker and then approved or returned.

After the Providers are enrolled, they can submit bills for the services they offer to eligible Claimants.

Providers can directly update their own information in the system, instead of sending in forms and waiting for the forms to be processed into the system.

After an application is approved, the WCMBP System maintains and tracks the records of every Provider enrolled in the system. The System also updates the information of each Provider based on the modifications made to the Provider information by the Provider or operations staff.
The WCMBP Provider Enrollment and Maintenance solution supports Provider enrollment processing, file maintenance, and ID assignment. The Provider Enrollment Worker is responsible for verifying and validating certain Provider credentials before a Provider is certified to participate in the OWCP program. The online verification mechanism enables faster approval of the enrollment applications and modification requests.
After a Provider enrollment is reviewed and approved, the WCMBP System generates a Welcome Letter for the Provider which includes the Provider ID and login credentials. Using the Provider ID and login credentials, the approved Provider can log into the WCMBP System and use the business process wizard (BPW) to maintain their information.
The WCMBP System sends expiration notification to ensure Providers are notified about expiring licenses, and it includes the requirement to update the System with renewed license information to continue accessing the Provider maintenance function.
