Viewing and Modifying DRG Codes

To view or modify DRG codes:

1. From the Reference tab, click the DRG List Code hyperlink.

The system shows the DRG Codes List page. This page displays the DRG code with its description, MDC number, DRG type, status, start and end dates, and the effective date.

2. If the code you want to view is not shown on the page, select a category from the Filter By drop-down, enter a search term or the wildcard character (%) in the adjacent text box, and click Go.

The system displays the DRG Codes List page with filtered results.

3. To modify one of the DRG code fields, click the DRG Code hyperlink for the code you want to modify.

The system shows the DRG Details page. From this page, you can make changes to the DRG fields that appeared on the DRG Codes List page, and you can view, add, or modify DRG pricing information and associated indicators.

4. Under the DRG Details section, update the editable fields as needed and click Save.

The system saves your changes and refreshes the DRG Details page.

5. To add or modify the pricing information or indicators shown on the DRG Details page, see “Section DRG Pricing InformationDRG Pricing Information” and “Section DRG Associated IndicatorsDRG Associated Indicators.”

6. To return to the DRG Codes List page, click Close.
