Approving or Rejecting a DRG Code

To approve or reject a DRG code:

1. From the Reference tab menu, under DRG Codes, click the DRG List Code hyperlink.

The system shows the DRG Codes List page.

2. If the code you want to approve or reject is not shown on the page, select Status from the Filter By drop-down, type “In Review” in the adjacent search field, and click Go.

The system displays the DRG Codes List page with DRG codes in “In Review” status.

3. Select the checkbox under the checkbox column for the code you want to approve or reject.

4. Select Approve or Reject.

The system displays the Update Status dialog.

5. Select a Reason Code (optional).

6. Enter any necessary comments in the Remarks field and click the OK button.

The system exits back to the DRG Codes List page where the code now shows the status of “Approved” or “Rejected.”
