Approving or Rejecting an Associated Taxonomy Code
To approve or reject a taxonomy code associated with a DRG code:

From the Reference tab menu, select the DRG List Code hyperlink.
The system displays the DRG Codes List page.

From the Filter By drop-down menu, select a filter, enter a search term in the adjacent text box (a required field), and click Go.
For example, from the Filter By drop-down list, select Description and enter a full search term or partial search term with the wildcard character (%) in the adjacent text box, and click Go.
The system displays an updated DRG Codes List page with records that match the filter criteria you entered.

Select the hyperlink under the DRG Code column for the code you want to view.
The system displays the DRG Details page.

Select Associate Taxonomy from the Show menu.
The system displays the Associated Taxonomy page.

From the Filter By drop-down menu, select a filter, enter a search term in the adjacent text box (a required field), and click Go.
For example, from the Filter By drop-down list, select Status and enter “In Review” in the adjacent text box, and click Go.
The system displays an updated Associated Taxonomy page with taxonomy codes in “In Review” status.

Select the checkbox under the checkbox column for the code you want to approve or reject.

Select Approve or Reject.
The system displays the Update Status dialog.

Select a Reason Code (optional).

Enter any necessary comments in the Remarks field and click the OK button.
The system exits back to the Associated Taxonomy page where the taxonomy code shows the status of “Approved” or “Rejected.”
