Approving or Rejecting a Surgical Code
To approve or reject a surgical code:

From the Reference tab menu, click the DRG List Code hyperlink from the 3M grouper.
The system shows the DRG Codes List page.

If the code you want to view is not shown on the page, select a category from the Filter By drop-down, enter a search term or the wildcard character (%) in the adjacent text box, and click Go.
The system displays the DRG Codes List page with filtered results.

Select the DRG Code hyperlink for the code you want to view.
The system shows the DRG Details page.

From the Show menu, select Associate.
The system displays the Associated Surgical Code List page.

Select the checkbox under the checkbox column for the surgical code in “In Review” status you want to approve or reject.

Select Approve or Reject.
The system displays the Update Status dialog.

Select a Reason Code (optional).

Enter any necessary comments in the Remarks field and click the OK button.
The system exits back to the Associated Surgical Code List page where the surgical code shows the status of “Approved” or “Rejected.”
