Adding Procedure RVU Rate Detail

The purpose of adding procedure RVU rates ensures that bills are priced correctly. The authorized user Users will have the ability to add, modify, or delete procedure RVU rates as instructed by the DOL. Updates can occur as a file maintenance function on a quarterly, semi-yearly, and/or annual basis.

To add an RVU Rate:

  1. In the Rate Settings tab, select the Procedure RVU hyperlink.

The system displays the Manage Proc RVU Rates list page.

  1. Select the Add button.

The system displays the Add RVU Rate Detail page.

  1. Select a Program from the drop-down list.

Note: You must select a Program first before modifying the Procedure Code field and the Procedure Code Modifier field.

  1. Select the left-facing arrow next to the Procedure field.

The system displays the Procedure Lookup dialogue page.

  1. From the Filter drop-down menu, select a filter, enter a search term in the adjacent text box (a required field), and select Go.

For example, from the Filter drop-down list, select Procedure Code and enter “%102” in the adjacent text box, and then select Go.

The system updates the Procedure Lookup page with procedure codes that match the filter criteria you entered.

  1. Select the required procedure code and select OK.

The system displays the Add RVU Rate Detail page and populates the Procedure Code field.

  1. Select a Procedure Code Modifier from the drop-down list (Optional).

  2. Select a Start Date and End Date.

  3. Enter the appropriate values in the following fields:

  • Work RVU

  • MPE RVU

  • Facility PE RVU

  • Non-Facility PE RVU

  • Conversion Factor

  • Remarks (Optional)

  1. Select the Save button.

The system saves the new rate and displays the Manage Proc RVU Rates list page.
