Viewing and Modifying Associate Modifier Codes
To view or modify associated modifier codes:

From the Reference tab menu, select the Proc/Svc List Code hyperlink.
The system displays the Proc/Svc Codes page.

From the Filter By drop-down menu, select a filter, enter a search term in the adjacent text box (a required field), and click Go.
For example, from the Filter By drop-down list, select Description and enter a full search term or partial search term with the wildcard character (%) in the adjacent text box, and click Go.
The system displays an updated Proc/Svc Codes page with records that match the filter criteria you entered.

Select the hyperlink under the Proc/Svc Code column for the code you want to view.
The system displays the Proc/Svc Details page.

Select Associate Modifier from the Show menu.
The system displays the Associated Modifier List page. This page displays the program and claim type to which the listed modifier code applies, and identifies the modifier code, description, status, effective date, and whether the code is included or excluded in the association.
Note: The information in the Associated Modifier List page populates only if the procedure code has associated facility information.

From the Filter By drop-down menu, select a filter, enter a search term in the adjacent text box (a required field), and click Go.
For example, from the Filter By drop-down list, select Modifier Code, enter the wildcard character (%) in the adjacent text box, and click Go.
The system displays an updated Associated Modifier List page with records that match the filter criteria you entered.

If you need to update a code, click the hyperlink under the Modifier Code column for the code you want to modify.
The system shows the Proc/Svc To Modifier Detail page.
Note: Only the Include Exclude Flag and Facility/Non-Facility Indicator fields can be modified on this page.

Change the Include Exclude Flag and Facility/Non-Facility Indicator fields as needed and click the Save button.
The system refreshes the Proc/Svc to Modifier Detail page.

Select the Close button.
The system exits back to the Associated Modifier List page.
