Adding a Procedure Pricing Factor

To add a procedure pricing factor to a revenue code.

  1. From the Reference tab menu, select the Revenue List Code hyperlink.

The system displays the Revenue Codes page.

  1. From the Filter By drop-down menu, select a filter, enter a search term in the adjacent text box (a required field), and click Go.

For example, from the Filter By drop-down list, select Description and enter a full search term or partial search term with the wildcard character (%) in the adjacent text box, and click Go.

The system displays an updated Revenue Codes page with records that match the filter criteria you entered.

  1. Select the hyperlink under the Revenue Code column for the code you want to view.

The system displays the Revenue Details page.

  1. Select Associations from the Show menu.

The system displays the Revenue Associations page.

  1. Select the Add button above the Procedure Pricing Factor section.

The system displays the Procedure Pricing Factor dialog.

  1. Select the program from the Program drop-down.

The system refreshes the dialog and populates the Claim Type drop-down with options for the program you selected.

  1. Select the claim type from the Claim Type drop-down.

  2. Select the modifier code from the Modifier Code drop-down (optional).

  3. Select the pricing factor from the Pricing Factor drop-down.

  4. Select Include or Exclude from the Include Exclude Flag drop-down according to whether you want the new pricing factor association with the Proc/Svc code to be included or excluded.

  5. Enter dates for the Start Date and End Date fields.

  6. Select OK.

The system exits the dialog back to the Revenue Associations page where the new pricing factor has a status of “In Review” in the Procedure Pricing Factor section.

  1. To view the added pricing factor from the Procedure Pricing Factor section of the Revenue Associations page, select Status from the Filter By drop-down, type “In Review” in the adjacent search field, and click Go.

The system displays the list of pricing factors that are in “In Review” status including the pricing factor you just added.
