Viewing or Modifying Associated Specialty and Sub-Specialty

To view a profile’s associated specialty and sub-specialty:

  1. In the Admin tab, select the Profile hyperlink.

The system displays the Manage Profiles page.

  1. Use the Filter By search fields to find the profile to which you want to associate a role.

For example, select Profile Name from the Filter By drop-down list, and then enter a search term in the adjacent text box. You can enter either a full or partial search term, but if you use a partial term (such as a single letter), be sure to add the wildcard character (%) to the term.

  1. Select Go.

The system displays an updated Manage Profiles page with a list of records that match the search criteria you entered.

  1. Select either the Name or the Description hyperlink for the profile to which you want to add a role.

The system displays the Profile Details page.

  1. From the Show drop-down, click Associated Specialty & Sub Specialty.

The system displays the Associated Specialty and Sub Specialty Codes page, which lists the associated specialty or subspecialty along with the start and end dates.

  1. To modify the start and end dates for a specialty/subspecialty code, click the checkbox for the specialty/subspecialty you want to update and click Update Period.

The system displays the Update Periods dialog.

  1. Change the Start Date and End Date fields as needed and click OK.

The system exits back to the Associated Claim Types page, which shows the updated date field(s).

  1. Select Close to return to the Profile Details page.
