Viewing and Modifying Associate Taxonomy Codes
To view or modify associated taxonomy codes:

From the Reference tab menu, select the Proc/Svc List Code hyperlink.
The system displays the Proc/Svc Codes page.

From the Filter By drop-down menu, select a filter, enter a search term in the adjacent text box (a required field), and click Go.
For example, from the Filter By drop-down list, select Description and enter a full search term or partial search term with the wildcard character (%) in the adjacent text box, and click Go.
The system displays an updated Proc/Svc Codes page with records that match the filter criteria you entered.

Select the hyperlink under the Proc/Svc Code column for the code you want to view.
The system displays the Proc/Svc Details page.

Select Associate Taxonomy from the Show menu.
The system displays the Associated Taxonomy page. This page displays the program and claim type to which the listed taxonomy code applies, and identifies the taxonomy code, taxonomy description, status, effective date, and whether the code is included in or excluded from the association.
Note: The information in the Associated Taxonomy page populates only if the procedure code has associated taxonomy information.

From the Filter By drop-down menu, select a filter, enter a search term in the adjacent text box (a required field), and click Go.
For example, from the Filter By drop-down list, select Program, enter the wildcard character (%) in the adjacent text box, and click Go.
The system displays an updated Associated Taxonomy page with records that match the filter criteria you entered.

If you need to update a code, click the hyperlink under the Taxonomy Code column for the code you want to modify.
The system shows the Proc/Svc to Taxonomy Code End page.
Note: Only the Include Exclude Flag field can be modified on this page.

Change the Include Exclude Flag field as needed and click the Save button.
The system refreshes the Proc/Svc to Taxonomy Code End page.

Select the Close button.
The system exits back to the Associated Taxonomy page.
