Approving or Rejecting a Surgical Code
To approve or reject a surgical code in “In Review” status:

From the Reference tab menu, select the Surgical List Code hyperlink.
The system displays the Surgical Codes page.

From the Filter By drop-down menu, select a filter, enter a search term in the adjacent text box (a required field), and click Go.
For example, from the Filter By drop-down list, select Status and enter “In Review” in the adjacent text box, and click Go.
The system displays an updated Surgical Codes page with surgical codes in “In Review” status.

Select the checkbox under the checkbox column for the code you want to approve or reject.

Select Approve or Reject.
The system displays the Update Status dialog.

Select a Reason Code (optional).

Enter any necessary comments in the Remarks field and click the OK button.
The system exits back to the Surgical Codes page where the surgical code shows the status of “Approved” or “Rejected.”
