Approving or Rejecting a Revenue Code

To approve or reject a revenue code associated with a facility type:

  1. From the Reference tab menu, select the Facility Type hyperlink.

The system displays the Facility Type List page.

  1. From the Filter By drop-down menu, select a filter, enter a search term in the adjacent text box, and click Go.

For example, from the Filter By drop-down list, select Description and enter a full search term or partial search term with the wildcard character (%) in the adjacent text box, and click Go.

The system displays an updated Facility Type List page with records that match the filter criteria you entered.

  1. If the code you want to approve or reject is not shown in the Associated Revenue Code section, select a category from the Filter By drop-down, type “In Review” in the adjacent search field, and click Go.

The system displays the Associated Revenue Code section with revenue codes in “In Review” status.

  1. Select the checkbox under the checkbox column for the code you want to approve or reject.

  2. Select Approve or Reject.

The system displays the Update Status dialog.

  1. Select a Reason Code (optional).

  2. Enter any necessary comments in the Remarks field and click OK.

The system exits back to the Facility Type Detail page where the revenue code now shows the status of “Approved” or “Rejected” in the Associated Revenue Code section.
